They were a little less cooperative this evening, the bigger ones anyway.  Caught plenty of 12 inchers, but I'm not keeping them that small now that I already have some in the freezer.  IMG_20180825_203950181~2.jpg

The boat traffic was rediculous. 😬

The stretch from the toll bridge to three corners is my least favorite area of the lake.   Whenever I'm in that area I can't get this song out of my head

I was out for a bit Friday evening, throwing a 1/10 Oz. Ned rig with 1/2 of a Trd. Having fun catching lots of small bass and sunfish. I'll be danged if I didn't hook into a freight train of a hybrid on the 6# light action setup. He had me out classed and after about a 10 minute struggle broke off at the boat when I was trying to get him in. Gotta start carrying a net. I got a good look though, it appeared to be in the fish of the year range, maybe 8#. I know without a pic it's just a story, but for me it's one heck of a story.

Saweet!   I haven't played tug-o-war with a hybrid yet this year.  Not seeing many mutts either....but it's early yet.

The Whites up this way are busting shad schools every evening from about 5:00 until dark.  Caught them until the pain in my elbow was unbearable yesterday.  They were still biting when I quit, sat down and cracked open a beer.  I had had enough.  IMG_20180831_191131096.jpg

AHHHH the kid is back from her trip Huh Wrench. I need to come by and talk to her. She is still speaking English I hope.  I have not touched anything in over a week. I have 7 yard of gravel setting on the driveway Then had to rework thevyard from transporting most of it down the the lake side of the By that time it was Thursday and the lake was starting to churn.

My fishing buddies have both been gone as wel. l One in Texas baby sitting and the other down in Nashville tending to business

The latter ones is Rhonda Vincent's husband..  She is going to be doing a two day show in Eldon at Lake Ozark Speedway.Just in case any of you bluegrass fans are interested. There will be Rhonda and her band The Rage, Trinity River Band , Collins Brothers, Possum Trot and Moe Brady will be there Saturday.I guess it sounds funny  coming from a deaf man. Rhonda and her family are personal friends though and I am just sort of putting out the word about the show. If you see some old codger walking around at the show with a very ratty frayed hat on it will be me.

I looked for tickets to Rhondas' show, did I miss it? The darn Hybrids are beating me up. All I want is to chase them anymore,  Had another goodun on last night that pulled off. Been able to get some whites and cats off the shad schools, and one or two big fish bites per evening. It's frustrating but I don't believe there's any better fight than a healthy wiper.
