Maybe we should do what my late friend Darrell used to do at taneycomo. He would start yelling and bring it to the attention of all other anglers close by. "Hey this , not so nice person, is shuffling or using the wrong bait, or keeping slot limit fish. It seemed to work better. Ha! 😆 Back in the day one of my buddies used to holler "Oh I'm sorry, do you wanna fish here?" to the guys at Bennett that started crowding in on him. They would always apologize and move. laker67, Daryk Campbell Sr and dnj21 2 1

I'm no stranger to the sound of a double-hauled clouser smacking the side of an aluminum boat. 😣 Or whizzing past your ear. That is how I learned to perfect the duck cast . Very similar to the chuck and duck but in my version you stand there erect and dodge the speeding fly milliseconds before it connects with your head. You can learn this real quick after it engages your noggin a couple of times. BilletHead As a kid when I decided to teach myself to flycast I tried that method, the timing is a bit tricky but having to go into the house every 10 minutes to have your dad yank out a hook helps you learn quickly. Mom as an ER nurse was more gentle, dad the WW II vet, not so much. BilletHead 1
tjm Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Always wear a hat. Be sure that when you ask help with a fly stuck through your ear that when you say "cut it off" they know you mean the fly hook and not the ear. Daryk Campbell Sr, MOstreamer and MOPanfisher 3
