Bass Pro Tour Changing Tournament Fishing Forever

This is all well and good on the pro level, but I don't see it making a bit of difference in terms of impact on our lake … or any other, for that matter. The pros are here and gone in a few days. Where our lake catches it on the chin is from local tournaments … hundreds upon hundreds every year. And very few of them will ever consider an immediate-release format for any number of reasons.

TV tournaments and your Friday night jackpots with tailgate weigh-ins have absolutely nothing in common.

So you tow there boat with your truck...i hope you don't get in an accident cause your insurance company will tell you to go pound sand...so then who pays for damages ...

You might want to double check on that.

I have seen that happen, not in this state but another state i lived. They said that the person did not have commercial vehicle insurance and this happened many years ago. I probably should have worded it different, i should of put they could possible tell you to pound sand..... I would be checking with my insurance company about it.

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

B.A.S.S. reaction to the Bass Pro Tour.  Smaller fields, more payouts.

Wow. Turning into a knock down, drag out battle between MLF and BASS. That is quite the response from BASS. I particularly like the $20,000 early tour entry credit trying to force hands early to commit to BASS. This story will be fun to watch unfold with who stays and who goes. Assuming Boyd Duckett's BASS invite will get lost in the mail. 🤣

Where did all that money all of a sudden come from, free derby entry fees and 1 mil payouts?  Looks like BASS was the fox caught in the Hen House and are now deciding not to suck all the eggs.

Got a feeling if MLF had not stepped in, it would have been business as usual.  I know it would have been.

Just the fish care aspect of this is worth the change, but as Champ pointed out these guys are just the most visible, and the root of the problem is the Jimmy's and Joe's of all the local stuff day after day.

Once again NAILED it on all fronts. BASS has apparently been screwing over their pro's for awhile now. I thought the exact same thing when I read that link that MOguy1973 posted. Sooooooo if you can afford all of this now, what exactly were you doing before with all this money????? Also 100% on had MLF not stuck their nose in here, absolutely NOTHING would have changed for BASS going into next year and beyond. This is why competition is a good thing in any market!
