Daryk Campbell Sr Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 I am looking to get a switch panel for my 14 foot flatbottom without a console. The one at bass pro has horrible reviews, but from many years ago. Who has installed a panel, and how satisfied are you? I am looking for Christmas gift ideas for others. Also, I need a new net. What do you recommend? Small ponds, creeks, small lakes. Every fish is on my catch list. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. MrGiggles Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 I've bought two from eBay, both are fine, and are pretty inexpensive considering what they include. Daryk Campbell Sr and liphunter 2 -Austin
176champion Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Amazon or ebay would be your best bet.. I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
fishinwrench Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 I've installed a lot of them, and honestly have never seen a bad one. Some are cheesier than others and you may have a switch go bad or a breaker fail to reset in the future, but you'll have that regardless of which one you use. I'd avoid any that have fuse links with caps instead of breakers, but other than that just go with one that suits your needs. I'm not a fan of rocker switches but that's just a personal thing. moguy1973 Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 I use one of these nets. I think I have the smallest size. The rubberized netting is great for keeping hooks from snagging in it. Folds up for easy storage too. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-gold-series-folding-landing-net Daryk Campbell Sr 1 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson

Johnsfolly Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 I'm a big fan of the rubberized netting. Before I had one I would end up cutting my jerkbaits free of the net. Even with pinched down barbs spent lots of time removing the hooks from netting. No issues with ta gling with the rubberized netting. Daryk Campbell Sr and dan hufferd 2
slothman Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 I just bought a new net. I looked at a bunch of nets before buying. I ended up getting one from lews in Springfield. They had one with a decently long handle and big opening with a deep coated net. It had the best price point I could find for a net matching all of those requirements. Also, they have a 20% off sale going right now when you bring in a canned food item for their canned food drive. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
