dan hufferd Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I have been following this guy on youtube for a couple years, I have encouraged him to post on the forum, I hope to fish with him in the spring. slothman, Gavin and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 2
Ranger520vx Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I have gotten to know Jerry since I moved here 3 years ago. But unfortunately haven't had the chance to fish with him. Hope to get with him this coming up year and see if he wants to go do some fishin. dan hufferd 1
Flysmallie Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I bet that guy has some great stories. Interestingly enough I fish with a guy all the time that uses skirts on his crankbaits and puts them on just like this guy. Cool stuff. Chief Grey Bear and dan hufferd 2
Ranger520vx Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 The times he has came over and we visited he definitely had some good stories. dan hufferd 1

fishinwrench Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 That's only about the 5th guy that I've heard take credit for that particular modification. 😂 The one thing that all have in common is the claim that the old crusty vinyl skirts of yesteryear are the preferred material. That little detail right there indicates that it originated from somewhere other than the minds of all but one of the guys claiming it. That tweek has been a thing with old river fishermen since back before crankbaits had lips on them. I first saw it done to surface plugs and Lazy Ike's back in the early 70's. Along with backward skirts put on the brush guard of the old Johnson Silver Minnow spoons. Terrierman and Mitch f 1 1
