You just can't give up can ya??:D

Nor can you just agree that most people travel perpetually, and needlessly.    I'm just trying to understand the mentality of it all.

Our old buddy Cricket drives one and is putting hella miles on it.

Now there's a job where it's actually justified.   I'll give ya that one. 😉

And delivering 800 million dollars worth of materials each year is not??

Lot of people that chose to live two hours from where they work or chose to work two hours from where they live. Then there is the guys that will drive three hours each way to fish a few hours, many reasons for high miles.

You been hanging out with Chief?

How many cars have you passed today?

What percentage do you think were delivering vital components/materials?

Of course we all need delivery drivers!  Don't twist me around like that, bro.

Right.  "I make 70k per year, but I spend 30k going to and from work".  Brilliant!

I have no idea how many cars I passed today, not many since I only live 3.5 miles from my office. But very few were probably delivering anything and even fewer were a Silverado. I'm just saying that there is a lot more of it going on than what we probably think. I used to put 50 to 60k on a vehicle each year. And I wasn't delivering anything. But I had to be in those locations to do my job.

Not only that but it takes them 65+ hours a week to get in 40 on the job, if they take lunch likely more, then they stress that they have no family time; it's the American Dream.

I'd wager that 1/4 are headed to a doctor/hospital over a condition that either can't be cured or doesn't truly exist.  Another 1/4 are on the way to a pharmacy for some plecebo script, and then they'll go shoe shopping.  And the other 1/2 are out picking up yarn for the afghan they are crocheting for their niece who lives 4 states away so she can throw it in a closet for spiders to breed in.....or some other equally important reason.
