I have an old friend of mine that used to work at a convenience store and when someone grabbed a case of beer and tried to run for the door and he grabbed a can good from the counter and threw it and hit him on the back of the head and knocked him out. Store owner put the can he used on the counter for a while after that as a deterrent. snagged in outlet 3, Flysmallie and Terrierman 2 1
straw hat Posted December 11, 2018 Author Posted December 11, 2018 I totally agree with you terrierman and am considering backing of from the whole thing except for maybe me carrying one. The wife has a deep seated dislike and fear of guns but as a husband I really worry about her safety when she is alone. I don't even know if she would use it if she were alone. You never know about that type of thing until the situation arises.

Flysmallie Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 I think these people are more bark than bite anyways. Why are they harassing Asian people? I know a lot of people in your area, from many different races, and I don't think any of them are getting harassed or feel threatened in that community. I hope not.
straw hat Posted December 11, 2018 Author Posted December 11, 2018 I hope they are not having any hassles either. This is nothing new. In years past it was just a evil stare or an off color comment like "why don't you Japanese go back to where you came from and in her case that would be Eureka Springs, LOL These we just ignored but things have worsened in the last 3 years and getting law enforcement involved, well not much they can do without witnesses or identification (other than a lot of paperwork lol). We do have a camera installed in our vehicles now. I am going to have a long talk with my wife tonight about maybe getting a taser. Are there permits required for that as well? Anybody know.?

Yea I agree snagged but luckily she is not the type to panic and she is familiar with my rifles and shotguns and has shot them plenty but she still does not like guns. Its funny, I am not sure she could pull the trigger if she was seriously threatened but I think she could blow someones head off if they were actually attacking me. lol
ollie Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Hey, I don't care if my shield is a girly gun or not, it goes bang every time and is a great conceal carry gun!! lol "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
fishinwrench Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 I have to carry a cell phone everywhere I go, be darn if I'm gonna carry a gun everywhere I go also. Maybe this app will give you enough of a diversion to keep you safe......or...then again... it might get you shot by somebody's wife 😕 I guarantee if you point your phone at someone and it sounds like a AR-15 they are gonna duck and run, regardless of how mean they think they are. It worked for the kid in Home Alone 😊 straw hat 1
MOPanfisher Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 I am an ardent supporter of the Second Amendment but not everyone is the correct fit to carry a firearm, if they are not willing to use it, then it is a liability. Many women are that way, would use it to protect the home but nowhere else. My mom was and still is one who would never shoot anyone period. If she isn't comfortable with one and willing to use it and use it well, she shouldn't be carrying one. To my knowledge there is no restriction on stun guns/tasers. Pepper sprays are NOT all equal. Sabre Red is one that will spray upside down or in any position. Tasers require close contact to use, good pepper spray gives a bit of stand off distance. snagged in outlet 3, Terrierman and straw hat 3

It's good to about 15 feet. Smalliebigs and MOPanfisher 2
