It is.  But put a top shelf call in the hands of an accomplished caller and there is a difference.

I can totally understand that and don’t disagree. I have heard a lot of terrible sounds in the marsh from high dollar calls and low dollar calls. I’ve also killed birds with cheapies and very expensive calls.

For those reading, remember this when hunting ducks: Location, location, location.

Duck commander duck calls and apparel and they had hunting videos.

I think their calls were more popular years ago. Somebody can correct me on that. They made it big well before I ever got into duck hunting.

Dunno, but you if you get J.T. Uptegrove, O.B. Blevins, or Crazy Bob Wilcox to blow a duck call you will kill ducks. If you don’t kill ducks, they can remodle your crawl spaces, kill rats in your barn, make themselves useful and clean out your liquor stash until you do kill ducks.

No truer words have been said on this thread. If you are where they want to be you can't keep them out.  If you are at that spot no calling is even needed just sit and wait. Same with geese.

Pretty much sums up the majority of hunting and fishing success. Never killed a duck, but killed more turkeys being between where they are and where they want to go than pulling them away. And that was not because of my calling ability😌.

           Yep more true words,

Nothing wrong with being a Johnny Sneakum .Turkeys can be some of the hardest headed stubbornness birds there is.  In true john Wayne fashion sometimes you got to "head them off at the pass" .
