Out last weekend, guess we picked  the wrong one. Folks were in shorts last Saturday. That pic is from the Sunday blizzard of 2014. Took most of us 6hrs to get back to STL/STC that day. BTW, easiest place to put in at Baptist is behind the shitter. Most of the remodel has eroded away.

Work will start soon to put in new launch. The federal Highway Administration is doing the work and they are funded.

Thanks for the update Mike. Think they should just leave it alone. The more they disturb it the more the river takes. Used to be a big deep hole at the end of a gravel road. Went south after they paved it.

The handicap fishing ramp was a good place to drink beer and watch the float crowd go thru.  If I was in a wheelchair and went there to fish, I would have been offended.

It has survived more floods that I ever thought it would.  I thought it would be gone the first spring.

This storm shutdown I-44 between Eureka and Valley Park last night.  People had to stay in their cars overnight.  I wonder if people up in Minnesota and Michigan have issues like these?

If you drive a rear wheel car or truck and try to make it up antire hill you aren’t going to make it.  We have a solid 9-10 inches here.   Cars all over in ditches.
