Bushbeater Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 This thread brings back memories. Tecumseh used to be our spring spot for the white bass run. Back in the day when there was primitive camping downstream of the bridge. Got in big trouble one year, as I stayed over and missed Easter dinner. I'd do it again. fishinwrench, Greasy B and snagged in outlet 3 3

Bushbeater Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 It's a sad state of affairs if you can't camp or launch at Tecumseh any more. My taxes go up and the services go down.
fishinwrench Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 Well what's the closest place to there that a guy with a 4x4 could slide a Jon boat in ? Pretty sure I could get it done at Dawt. No?
Bushbeater Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 My version of Google maps shows a nice boat ramp. It appears there is also access to confluence of the rivers. https://www.google.com/maps/@36.594996,-92.2828781,847a,35y,229.01h,39.24t/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en
Bushbeater Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 And if It's not right there, 30 minutes to Theodosia.

Not doggin you just wondering why the goose chase if you have that action right there near the house.

Bunch of boats at the ramp too.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Found this in a Corp article. Construction is set to begin sometime between November and December 2019. Case says until the construction is completed at Tecumseh, fishermen should plan to use other nearby boat accesses in the area including Bridges Creek (known locally as “Stump Hole” located off County Road 551B, known locally as “Smokey Road”), Udall (on O Highway), Liner Creek (on T Highway) and Calamity Beach (on County Road 24 in Clarkridge, Arkansas). http://www.ozarkcountytimes.com/news-local-news/corps-engineers-reveals-plans-tecumseh-park-restoration-include-roadway-parking-lot That Access off of 551B is just down river.
