I'm not gonna quit kicking off crap until they do. I'm ramping it up real soon and making this my new hobby. 🤨 I don't care how difficult it makes things, or who believes it can't be changed. It is going to change. In between doing dishes I guess😆 magicwormman, Seth and fishinwrench 2 1
likinmo Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Well how we do it is the non boater and boater both make sure the other one is measuring their fish correctly and then you write it down on a card. The boater and non boater are competing against each other just like in the old flw format . So that keeps each person honest really. You could do it with a scale and picture as well. At the end of the day each person has to sign the other persons card that it’s an accurate card. So in big tourney you could hold each person in the boat accountable for the accuracy of the results. magicwormman 1

Anything that works, and doesn't involve hauling fish all over the place, is great. As for anyone concerned about someone "cheating".....if you are afraid that you are competing against cheaters then WHY are you even doing it ? Just because they are bringing in fish to the scales doesn't mean the odds of them cheating is any less. I mean most tournaments don't even do livewell checks at take-off anymore. Ketchup and I found a fish cage with a boat bumper tied to it, back in a small cove when we fished that benefit derby last week. If guys are gonna cheat then they are gonna cheat regardless. vernon and magicwormman 2

Exactly!!! I like to gamble on the golf course. A lot! If I have to follow you around because you might roll the rock on me, don’t bother. I’ll just give you the cash and you can squawk to everyone how you won it. If that’s all it means to you. vernon, magicwormman and Champ188 3
fishinwrench Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 If you just have to compete in the fishing game, then get creative. Casting competitions where some true skill is involved would be cool, no? Extreme boat handling events? (Trolling motor race in 3 foot swells) Knot tying? Backlash picking? How fast can you rig 7 rods? I can tell if a guy is a good fisherman without ever seeing him catch a fish. Can't you? Honestly there's no sense in this constant relocating of fish and passing back and forth the same 200.00, it's just stupid, and it's turning all the green bass over 15" into open water stripers that are wandering around in schools, completely lost. They don't even act like real bass anymore. magicwormman and vernon 2

It was the year they put my dad in the FFF hall of fame at The Conclave. Everyone had to use the same entry level Sage (discovery I think) with a double taper line, leader and piece of yarn. It wasn’t quite the whole line so 75’ or so but It was breezy and the piece of yarn wouldn’t turn over well or it would have been 80’. They had an accuracy competition too but my mom told me be nice and let someone else win. magicwormman, fishinwrench, duckydoty and 1 other 4

Is the case or are you just looking for an excuse for your lack of success lately? I've got a couple buddies who have been crushing them up shallow for the past several weeks. Why are they able to catch good sacks and you aren't? It ain't just in the PB2 area either. One in particular enjoys fishing up in your arm of the lake. Once things warm up, they'll move out deep and catch those deep fish. I guess you'll be able to gripe about how electronics ruin the bass fishing then since they use them to pin point those deep fish. Wart 57 and snagged in outlet 3 2
