tjm Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 I don't like the binding constriction and loss of side vision, I hate that I cant find light jackets that don't have hoods, new jacket with the hood hacked off just looks tacky, but it's lots more wearable.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 I've been wearing all over protection for 12-15 years. Haven't regretted it since I'm delicate. Simms shirts, mask and gloves. Patagonia gloves and pants, Exoficio shirts and pants. I have several masks, Mojo I think. Wash the gloves in dawn water then in the wash. When wet they are cold like AC.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 Gloves I wore today, Patagonia pants Simms hoodie. https://www.google.com/search?q=simms+sun+hoody&client=safari&hl=en-us&prmd=sinv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjzttej36jiAhUIUK0KHaCJB80Q_AUoAnoECA0QAg&biw=375&bih=619#imgrc=c1BKHQg6CKU40M Ham 1
mixermarkb Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 My only problem with the hood is remembering to put it on after changing spots. Blows off when running the boat, and then I just think to put it on again when I feel the burning... Lol
slothman Posted May 20, 2019 Posted May 20, 2019 I wear sun gloves and a HUK Icon shirt with hat, sunglasses, and an off brand buff. In the summer I will still wear shirts and sandals and will sunscreen my legs and feet. He only real problem I have with the buff is that I always have a little gap between the buff and my shirt in the back and I get a line on the back of my neck from the sun. I’m going to start looking for other brands of buffs that may be longer in the back that would fix that issue for me.

I don’t wear the hood but the collar is taller on the hooded shirt to keep me from having a red neck😀 slothman 1
MickinMO Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 I use a Columbia SPF hoodie. Keeps sun off my neck, ears, cheeks, and arms. I wear a cotton t shirt as an undershirt and I feel cooler in that setup than if I was just wearing a long sleeve SPF button up shirt. snagged in outlet 3 and Ham 2
ZigJigman Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 I have been wearing gloves for 3-4 years now. Patagonia makes some nice light weight ones and I have found the Fish Monkey brand too. I have 2 pair of the fish monkey and like them a lot. The fingers on them and the Patagonia are the right length for me. I don’t want any material above my knuckle on the middle of my fingers. Orvis makes some zip neck long sleeve Dri lease shirts that are very lightweight and soft. They have an extended collar as well as thumb holes. I wear a buff with those and that takes care of up top. Then use sunscreen on legs and feet. snagged in outlet 3 and Ham 2
