Wife drug me to the dermatologist yesterday and he ended up doing a biopsy off my nose for a spot I've had for about 3 years now... I'm only 39 but my dad's had 3 surgeries on his nose already so I let them cut me. I'll find out in a week if it's cancerous or not, fingers crossed is all we can do at this point... It's a hard spot for me to keep covered or sun screened as it's right where my glasses sit on the hump of my big ol broken nose. I second Ham, hoping it is good news. Have you considered a long bill cap in conjunction with a lightweight hoodie such as ones made by Aftco? Said combo should keep the sun off of your face. Long bill caps also are much better at shading your eyes than your typical short bill baseball type cap. I haven't tried one of these Duluth hats, but I like the look. A little pricey, but I'd rather spend a little extra on protection than fork over bucks to the dermatologists. https://www.duluthtrading.com/mens-no-fly-zone-extra-long-brim-cap-70527.html?&srccode=GPSHPMN&chnl=ps_prospect_pla_mn®ion=out_region&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5rGquJfq4gIVhsBkCh3AGg2LEAQYASABEgKJw_D_BwE Basspro has an inexpensive longbill, but has that big ol' BP logo on it. JestersHK Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Thanks guys, I got a boonie hat. I generally do not wear baseball caps since I'm bald I end up with crazy lines on my melon. I guess it beats the alternative though. I am really digging the buffs though and if I can figure out a way from keeping my glasses from fogging up I try to pull them up over my nose too... Wife bought me some fancy sun block too so I'll likely run that on my nose and around my eyes from here on out. Johnsfolly 1
Johnsfolly Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 @JestersHK we hardly ever see any daytime fishing photos so not sure when you actually do get out during the day😁. I also hope the you figure out your hat, screem, buff, etc. You have got to stop posting these close-up photos😂! Seriously we're thinking about you and hope that you get positive news! JestersHK Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Haha, I chase em in the daylight too. I'll refrain from posting my ugly mug anymore lol. Just wanted to get the awareness out there that it can happen to anyone at any age. Ham and Johnsfolly 2
N9BOW Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 I love microfiber Denali shirts from Amazon. Just bought 2 hoodies and 5 non hoodies. Reasonable price. I was given a couple shirts by Lowell when I bought my TopWater and one of the shirts was a Denali microfiber nylon. Loved it so much because I am a prolific sweater.... these wick well and dry extremely fast and the best fit I have ever had and they have some UV protection. I'm 6'1 and the XL fit nice for my size. Loose and comfortable. non hoodie https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C4LJNYG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 hoodie https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B3XXCWM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Ham 1
Ham Posted June 22, 2019 Author Posted June 22, 2019 Those microfiber shirts make a pretty good base layer in the winter too. Lowell. He’s a giver. N9BOW 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
