netboy Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 My wife was out working in the garden the other day and came across this little guy. We are new to country living and thought is was abandoned by the mother. Googled it and found out the mother places it in the same place each morning and then goes and feeds and comes back in the evening to take care of it. Then she places it right back in the same spot the next morning. Pretty cool watching the mother come back to nurse it and take it away for the night. I really need to mow that area once that little guy starts feeding on his own. MOPanfisher, MoCarp, BilletHead and 6 others 9
ollie Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 Never touch or move a fawn. The mother will always come back for her unless something happens to the mother. No better advice than this. Too many "orphaned" fawns get moved by well meaning folks that end up being raised by humans and not their mothers. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
fishinwrench Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 Club it in the head and fillet the loins out of it. 😎👍 Then you can mow. snagged in outlet 3, ollie and top_dollar 2 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Saturday morning I was heading out early to fish and there was a fawn stuck between the high fences on a 4 lane. It was just running back and forth between cars. Glad I didn't hit it. They make a mess on a vehicle.
