I could not care less about what Wal-mart does. Have 2 hand guns that sit and collect rust 364/24/7. Might not shoot it, but inspect/clean all at least once a year. Have ammo on hand but don’t store a bunch. I date the boxes and get rid of it if over 5 yrs old. Will usually go bang as well as new but buddies who shoot allot are glad to have it.

Wonder how they will define handgun ammo.  I have rifles that shoot 9mm, 44, 45 acp, and .357.

Wally has always had a knee jerk reaction to events.  Back in the 80's, some joker walked in and bought a gun and ammo at the gun counter and shot someone on the way out.  That created the policy where a manager escorts you out the door if you buy a gun from them.  Then there was a handgun incident somewhere that led to them not selling handguns any more.  Then Sandy Hook and the guy bought a Bushmaster at Wally I think, fire sale on black rifles and they quit selling them, quietly.  Now a shooting in Texas at a Wally and another big show in Springfield with a guy walking in openly carrying, legally, but stupidly.  Bye bye ammo.  And now they will confront you if you are openly, legally carrying a firearm.

Academy has better pricing on ammo anyway.  And a better selection.

Wally is going away.  Just like Sears, Kmart, and many other.  Soon, nobody will walk in to anywhere and shop.  All done on the net.

Same as it’s been in our company stores for over 10 years. Sure we aren’t anywhere the size of Walmart but this is nothing new. 

And unfortunately Walmart isn’t going anywhere soon.

Open, legal carry is OK on the farm or in the field, but Johnny Cash said it best. Don’t take your guns to town boy.Why tip your hand? Plus, you look like a man with a child’s pecker reliving his Roy Rogers cap gun days.

Every time I bought .22 LR ammo at Wal mart, they would ask if it was for a pistol, I always answered nope, for my machine gun.  As for wal mart to stop selling  ammo, whatever.  I have bought some cheapo ammo there in the past but my world will keep right on turning without their ammo.

My favorite rule in all the box stores, the manager escorts me out after purchase of a firearm carrying the purchased firearm. Meanwhile I am carrying my handgun and spare mag in my waistband.  Kinda redundant.  At least they feel safe.
