Members jfrith Posted October 30, 2019 Members Posted October 30, 2019 Anyone fished here lately? Holding any fish? Anything to report on?
fishinwrench Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 I don't hear much about that little stretch anymore. There was a time.... snagged in outlet 3 1
Gavin Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 It’s running 476 ccs at Sullivan, s/b fishable. Not a fan of the place after gigging season opens. Lots of locals jet boat, bow hunt deer, and gig down there. A little low to run a jet there, but they will. I’d spend my time someplace else this time of year. Greasy B and snagged in outlet 3 2

Members jfrith Posted October 31, 2019 Author Members Posted October 31, 2019 Yep, that’s about what I figured. Thought I might go check it out though and walk up to the spring. Try for some smallmouth if nothing else, but I’m sure they’re on their way to their wintering holes about now. Daryk Campbell Sr and snagged in outlet 3 2

Members jfrith Posted October 31, 2019 Author Members Posted October 31, 2019 I’ll keep you all posted. Is the red ribbon section open to gigging?

Haven't been on it in a few years, but the last time I was down there most of the good holes were graveled in. What kind of shape is it in these days?

It's probably been 12-14 yrs since I fished that area mostly targeting brown trout and not rainbows so much. Though my largest rainbow on a fly rod (at least for 4 or 5 years) came from a hole upstream from cardiac hill. Like 45acp said it was also my experience then that the best hole one year might be gone the next. Never seem to catch many fish, so shifted almost entirely onto the Current river for brown trout. Always liked fishing them more so than rainbows. @jfrith tell us how you do if you do go down that way. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
