Chet Hicks of Lebanon won NWF photo contest in the People in Nature class. Photo taken at Bennett Springs during a snow storm last Jan. Fisherman was in zone 2 down stream of the stone bridge.

Yeah, I can just set and look at it for about.... 3 seconds 🙄

Happy for the guy, that he won....but really, that's the best entry they received?

I was gonna say "Meh".  But it's the holiday season so I let it slide.  Thanks for saying it though:D

Right, I'm thinking that Chet definitely benefitted from the timing.

Imagine being a truly experienced photographer, entering a competition, and being beat out because someone has a soft heart for a dude that lost his foot in a chainsaw accident.    The road to success these days passes over the Pitiful creek bridge.

The snowflake in the long blonde hair truly was cool.  I mean at least that one sticks with you awhile, as it leaves you wondering how smoking hot the rest of her is.

I guess it's a sure sign of getting old Wrench. I was just wondering if she had a good 401 plan set up.

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)

I think it's a child, ya perv.:D

On a rare snowy day at her Tennessee home, photographer and self-proclaimed “nature nerd” Kathleen Greeson and her daughter, Madeline Ray, headed outside to enjoy the show. “There were these perfect snowflakes falling,” Kathleen recalls. “Huge, magnificent, and totally intact.” When one crystalline flake fell in her daughter’s hair, she caught the moment — now a favorite memory. “You can experience amazing nature without ever leaving home.”

You can even see her face? How you could tell that WASN'T a child?
