One of our favorite things to make is Naan..simple not a lot of ingredients and tasty especially if you have some onion and garlic powder. hydrate some chicken or beef and a nice meal...Ramen noodle are great too. Not a lot of nutrition but last a long time and always a crowd favorite...Throw a little ketchup (yuk) on it and you have the makings of Zombie brain stew :bouaaaaah:

The Brits had enough sense to cancel all Airline Service to China.  We're still helping the virus to spread. The U.S. evacuees were re-routed to land at an Air Force Base rather than land at a Public Airport....smart move !  My former employer has a Brewery in Wuhan....Harbin.   The last epidemic over there with an infectious disease had many of my former co-workers that had to travel there very scared.   Sorry about your In-laws being unable to come.

I've thought about it in the past and this deal just brings it back to mind.  Might not hurt to throw a couple buckets and some water in the basement just in case.

I am fully stocked in case of a zombie attack though:D

Not a bad idea to have food and water supplies on hand, never know what nature will throw at us.

And like N9BOW says, Ramen noodles aren't that bad.  I used to eat them for lunch quite often during my working days.

My daughter and her friends love ramen noodles.  They taste like salt water to me.

Has anyone bought any of the survival food?

Like these: https://www.wisefoodstorage.com/

Nope.  Two freezers full, one pantry and one well house fully stocked with canned and dry goods and we are on our own well.  When the power goes off it's too late anyway.

Wait.  I did do a major stock up on coffee beans - probably 20 pounds - but that was because Lucky's Market is closing down.   $6.99 per lb. coffee beans is hard to beat.

And I just sharpened a couple of hatchets.  So I'm prepared.

My biggest worry about this is recent reports regarding the incubation period and how long an infected person can communicate the disease before symptoms appear.  Seems it may well be two weeks.  How does screening begin to work if that is correct?

I have a coleman dual fuel stove so I guess I need a syphon to get gas out of my neighbors car for it:)

Good thinking.  And a sneaky ninja suit so you don't get caught.

a gallon of coleman camp fuel would last weeks if you cook every day, and has a shelf life of forever.  I keep a few gallons on hand all the time.

everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

It Does not... This Jeanie is out of the bottle and time will tell. My son just said they had 6 college kids return from Wuhan here in the neighboring state of Wisconsin. They have them under evaluation...but to your point, if they test positive what about the airport they already traveled through and the people they came in contact with on the way home.
