Couldn’t get anybody to eat it before and I quit doing it. But really enjoying it this year. It’s pretty bomb proof, produces most of the summer And very prolific. Keeps well in the fridge. Glad I added it back in. @BilletHead ever do this? Might scratch that itch for greens in the off season. More deets to come in the ‘What’s Cooking’ thread. No I haven't but would like to. Is seed available still? Plant anytime or fall crop? I have always started it in the spring. Looked in two books and neither said anything about planting now or in the fall. But I kinda feel like you could. https://www.burpee.com/gardenadvicecenter/vegetables/swiss-chard/all-about-swiss-chard/article10025.html BilletHead 1 John

Similar to spinach. Flavor is getting stronger as the season progresses. Think I need to be more diligent about getting them off early. N9BOW and Johnsfolly 1 1 John

Knowing if it were up to my wife and daughter we would be growing the rainbow chard variety🙄

MOPanfisher Posted June 20, 2020 Posted June 20, 2020 You have inspired me enough that I am going to expand my container grow operation, assuming my wife doesn't cat me before I get it done. Double mineral tubs, with water in bottom and maybe half full of dirt and mulch. Gonna make at least a couple of them canteloupes, as that is what I am really gonna miss. BilletHead 1
