Don’t believe me, Call Trout and Sons in St.James and ask them which boat thickness holds up better in rocks... .08” or .1”

I bought a cheap plug and play jet boat.  My next one will be different.

I am working on the same project.  Need a jet boat, but restricted to 25 hp because I want to use it on the 11 pt.  I want it light enough to get it off when I run shallow, tough enough to take the abuse, comfortable enough to fish out of, stable to keep my ole butt from falling out, easy to pull, and set up the way I like to fish out of a boat.

I just bought a nice little Express 1546 and am going to stick a tiller jet on it.  My polishing a turd project, but, my turd is still in the stomach.  This boat is 20 years old and only went back in forth to a small lake all of its life.  Showroom new and still babied.  Came with a little Johnson 4 hp motor too.

I don't know why.... but the fire extinguisher cracks me up.  😅

You'll need to put a transom extension on that one, for a jet.   Want pics of one of mine?

So the 11 point has a 25 HP limit for props or jets? If it’s props then you can have a 35 jet.

I have some aluminum from another project that should bolt up and raise the transom.

The fire extinguisher has a whistle attached. Old guy was gonna make the wife put out the tires.

NFS rules, sticker and registration must say 25 up or less.  It's a Scenic Riverways thing, for Current River above Two Rivers and Jack's Fork also.

You're gonna need a bigger trailer, or at least some longer bunks. The bunks should always extend a couple inches past the transom on a tin boat, if not, the transom skin will eventually crack along the bottom, and it can pound a pretty wicked hook in the hull.
