The current measure of a "fisheries biologist" is how long he/she stays employed doing it.  Has one ever been fired?

If the measure was how well they maintained the fishery......then you darn right I could do a better job.   100% Full confidence in that.

At what point do you decide "Hey, we've been studying fish and aquatic freshwater life for over a hundred years.....I think we know all we need to know now, let's run with it".  🙄 

Lincoln University is still studying the best food for farm raised fish.  What the hell have they been doing in the fisheries department for the last 80-some years?    They REALLY haven't even figured THAT out yet?    

We aren't evolving very well, are we? All this studying and nobody is getting any smarter.  Margin call, Man!   Good grief 😔

There has been studies going on in the medical field for thousands of years. There are always improvements to be made in about any field if tackled by innovative thinking. "Outside the box" If we took your approach to covid 19, we would never have a cure, would we? God is the only one who knows everything and I believe he gave man a broad array of complex challenges to give us a purpose in life while here on this rock. And, fishing is just one of an infinite number of those challenges! FYI, there have been biologists fired.
