OK so this on its face ticks me off.. yes they have lots of product.. and they have a business question.. do I/they feed the stock and risk no profit.

My questions:

1. The write off; is it not just as good if you keep feeding them and get less money? - I need more input but this seems a bit contrived!
2. seriously you cant start a FB page or web site and sell the hog to individuals who would butcher themselves? or small processors?? again not buying the premise
3. are you just pissing and moaning cause you're a corporate farmer and well your're a corporate farmer... - SMH 
4. I think there are lots of viable alternatives without reaching your hand out to the gov or crying wolf.

And trust me I know corporate farmers!... have no love for them!.. and as you can see supply chain...JIT delivery has its problems all created by corporate entities!. we need to get back to mom and pop delivery

 

BTW - I'll save them the cost of Euthanizing that piglet and take 3 - I'll make better pork from them raised heritage style then they will in a confinement

They have a beautiful museum and display at Whitefish Point (closest land mass to the sinking).  Had a great uncle that served on her as an engineer, luckily he was not on board at the time. Bridge fact, they never stop painting it weather permitting.

I know 160 people at our company that love trump.  We got $6k each in profit sharing last year.  We had not gotten one in 5 years.  China dumping steel in our country with careless abandon.  All government subsidized.   It was criminal and the USA was closing steel mills like crazy.  Trump slapped the tariffs on them and made sure our tax dollar projects were using domestic steel.  US steel even fired up the granite city mill.  Hard to fight a war without steel.  I love our country being run by a business man.  I honestly think he loves this country.  You also can’t deny his work ethic.  The dude is always working.

I've been worrying for some time now about the supply chain in this country.  I fear we're getting ready to find out there is no such thing as too big to fail.  Even the food supply.  It's way too centralized.  Getting back to smaller and more spread out operations is one great way to reduce vulnerability in that arena.  And not just meat production.

Term Limits.

Just cap the salaries at 1.5 the poverty level and no pensions until 15 years service. Let their salaries be set and adjusted the states. The terms are already limited to 6 years and 2 years  and that's probably as short as they need to be, else we'd be paying for elections all the time.

What terms for Federal congressmen are limited in any way.  The terms are 6 and 2 but they can be elected as many times as they can, am I mistaken there?  Presidents are the only ones I am aware of federally that are term limited.
