I think this latest bump is being provided by the stimulus...and it’s just providing an opportunity for the big money to get out

to me...there is much more risk to downside than missing out on an upside opportunity.

there will probably be some short term advances with all the stimulus money...but that won’t last forever.

I can’t time the market...so what little money I have is in an fdic insured account in a midsize bank

Save your money...and pay off debt is my advice

I'm step 7 by Ramsey.  Been that way for over 5 years now.  It's speculation money similar to casino action.

I’m not trying to pick a fight....but this Isnt speculation money...speculation is when you and I invest in something like the stock market

this is the govt huffing and puffing trying to keep the bubble afloat til they can find someone else to fill the void...ponzi scheme style

I misread what you said...sorry

you were saying the money you’re investing is casino money....I understand that thought.

I used to research and buy/sell micro cap pharmaceuticals stocks as kind of a hobby.  I won some and lost some...was fun for a while.

Traded stocks and options for quite a while as a hobby.  I love doing it.  Used IBD rules.  Then just got too busy to do it.  Can I tell you my strategy on this one?  About 3 weeks ago on here everybody was saying this is just the beginning.  My work buddies and friends were all doom and gloom.  That's all anyone was talking about.  So I opened a TD Ameritrade account and plopped down some cash figuring I'll keep buying it weekly as it tanks.  Thought I would cost average down and see what happens.  Well it never went below my first buy so I'm just sitting tight.

  • Baby Step 2 – Pay off all debt using the Debt Snowball
  • Baby Step 3 – 3 to 6 months of expenses in savings
  • Baby Step 4 – Invest 15% of household income into Roth IRAs and pre-tax retirement
  • Baby Step 5 – College funding for children
  • Baby Step 6 – Pay off home early
  • Baby Step 7 – Build wealth and give!
