c'mon, don't make me pay that other site a fee just to read fishing reports!!!!

lol-

I'm thinking of coming out to fish tomorrow with my younger son. How's the mid gravois as far as water color? Anyone launch at Coffman since the COVID stuff? How are the crowds?

It's stupid crowded.  Clearing nicely.

The C-rig bite is on (probably the best bite going right now).

You can't throw a wiggle wart because of all the snot along the bank.

You can pitch a jig or a lizard behind docks and get bit pretty good.  Flukes and wacky Senko's are starting to get bit good on the warmest days.

Crappie are on fire, and they are running big this year.

If you can find a bank that hasn't already been pounded 3-4 times you can expect to get bit really good.

I'm guessing the big boats are out already too with everyone off work? With all the lake houses it seems like the place to "quarantine"

Two guys from my office are down there "working" from home.  They only have 35'ers I think.

I've not crappie fished in a week or so and not done well, but the bass are on the banks in the Niangua, try a squarebill as close to the shore as you can get it.

Not too bad on this end since there's no place for them to go.

The big boat crowd doesn't run around much when they don't have destinations to head to.

I fished today and to Wrench’s point there are bass boats on most every spawning bank...and more big boats than normal - even on a crappy day like today.  Water color is a nice stain. Dragging baits will get snotty shallow.  There are schools of 4” shad stacked in any cove with wind but the fish are there.  WT was 57 early and 62 late with bucks during the day and females moving in late in the day.  I have had no problem catching a limit of nice crappie in the evening before dark...fahget about it in the morning with the frontal conditions this week.

I'm cheering for a full on flood over the next 48. Freezer is full of Crappie, nothing to prove with the green bass.

I'm ready to start chasing Whites.... but we need alot more water.
