Also need a way to safely pass water over, though or around. Also I seem to remember that if it is over a certain. Height or size then it becomes part of the national registry of dams and I think the DNR inspects them, not sure on that. Wrench is going to love that the government will be involved! @fishinwrench Does water flow constantly or just during runoff? If it doesn't I wonder if the DNR needs to be involved. I realize everything runs downhill into the total watershed. There are 2 little springs just above it, still on my property, that trickle water constantly. The dam is about 300 yards from where the little ditch enters the lake in the back of Navajo beach cove. The boys with the county road district haven't mentioned any issues except for the need to install a guard rail, and they offered to take care of that. So who knows. I'm not going to worry about any of that until it starts actually backing up water. If DNR starts throwing a fit and trying to make my life difficult I'll have @shrapnel come out and blow it up. It's a useless piece of property anyway, too steep and rocky to do anything else with it. BilletHead 1

But again I dont know/remember that. BilletHead 1

Don Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 I wouldn't buy a boat, vehicle, lawnmower, bicycle or anything without a test drive. I purchased a boat last August and the owners met me at the lake. I rode along while he was driving, inspected the boat and accessories, and asked questions. Then it was my turn. I opened up the motor and took off. I steered it around the lake awhile. I idled it at trolling speed awhile. It ran great. We loaded up and I gave him cash. Don May I caught you a delicious bass.

So in other words.....You could have just gave him cash at his house and saved all the BS, and everything would have been fine. 😂 wily 1
wily Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 I would say most people that expect the grand tour are first time buyers When buying anything...if you don’t trust who you’re buying it from....you should probably run away To wrenches point....and as tommy boy said...I can get a good look at a bulls a$$ by sticking my head up there...but I’d rather take the butchers word for it fishinwrench 1
wily Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 I bought my first boat from bills marine In monett...never drove it...didn’t know anything about bass boats....I was a golfer....but it was an awesome old ranger...gotta great deal on it. 2nd boat...and current boat bought from Phil. Was one of his rentals and it had a blown motor but he disclosed it....and have been happy with the purchase for over 10 years point is....boat purchase is no different than buying anything...know who you’re dealing with...and lessen your chance of getting screwed mixermarkb and fishinwrench 2
