jdmidwest Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 A politicians main job is procuring money for their own pet projects that get them re elected, they care less about the cause or where the money comes from. And of course, lining their pockets along the way. No such thing as a middle class Congressman or Judge. I have been a fan of term limits for almost all of my life. But there never seems to be any of the movement toward term limits in Congress and the House. I would even extend it to the Supreme Court. The jobs should not be life long careers. Wrench, a Police Officer has to deal with the worst scum on a daily basis. The druggies, rapists, thieves, child molesters, and all of the petty criminals. And, they have to deal with restraint while doing it. If it were me, I personally would just stomp the crap out of most of them and put them out of our misery, but the police bring them in for justice and enter them into our judicial system. They do it for low pay, abuse their bodies physically while doing it not covered under OSHA safety rules, have to wear a ton of gear, and maintain a public image while doing it. Its not an easy job. And it a deadly job, they die in the line of duty all of the time. We moved to Corpus Christi and that was good until it also got kind of crazy with the local government. North Arkansas and Southern Missouri are probably the best places to be right now. We do seem to be buffered pretty good here don't we. I run in to alot of bleed over from Illinois in the East part. KY an TN do pretty well too. So do Truckers, Construction workers, Marine mechanics and garage door salesmen. I know quite a few LEO's, and have observed even more, and so far I have been less than impressed by their incredible bravery. A Pekinese can shake up up pretty good. 😂 If they die in the line of duty it's because they made a mistake or a bad judgement call. Any of us working guys can get killed if we screw up. No way Jose. marine mechanics, garage door salesmen and construction workers don’t have a guy waiting with a gun to blow them away at any moment. ness and Maverickpro201 2 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

Or, you have to be put in a situation where you must know it in order to save yourself. But....You don't have to experience a sledgehammer dropped on your foot, and understand the way your nerves work, to know that it's gonna hurt. 😂 You proved my point. Thanks!

Neither do cops. I have guys bringing in strange and very powerful things, and they always have "something wrong" with them. I never know what I'm getting into. The bilge could be full of fuel, with bare hot wires dangling all about. I never know what condition these POS are in when I begin. Spend some time with me and I bet you'll be surprised how many literal BOMBS I defuse on a monthly basis. *Yeah Wrench, but do you save lives, besides your own?* You darn right I do. And many times I don't even get paid for it. Not joking one bit. Those dangerous criminals you are referring to are OUT THERE. Cops aren't the only ones that come into contact with them.....we all do. And the penalty for killing one of us is way less. MOstreamer 1
