Good things about 2020

I rarely pack a lunch when I go fishing, I just don't get to go often enough to counteract the ice cold 12oz cans of Steak, Taters, And Gravy that sustain me in this miserable heat and humidity.

I dropped 30 pounds over the course of a year or so, within the past couple years.  Also gave up smoking cigars last summer.  I wasn't addicted, but enjoyed puffing on them while fishing.  Didn't inhale the smoke anyway.  But, decided to quit and threw all my cigars and paraphernalia away.  Although I certainly enjoyed it,  I can't say I really miss it.

Lots of good things happened/happening in 2020.

My family is all still healthy.

Finally  making the long-anticipated move to Missouri next week.  I hope that's a good thing.  Nearly every day my weather app sends me notifications for Creve Coeur...its either Lightning or Poor Air Quality.  In prepping for the move, we discarded 60 cubic yards worth of "stuff" into dumpsters.  That's been needed for quite some time!  Feels good to lighten the load of possessions.

Moved our daughter into an apartment as she starts her final year of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.  Our son turned 20 a few months back.

Got our mom moved into a memory care facility.  That was a big deal.  She likes it.

Bought a townhome in MO, selling a home (supposed to close on it later this week) in IA.  May be purchasing a new (used) vehicle soon, possibly later this week.

Finishing up my dwindling time in Iowa by flyfishing for Grass Carp, Goldfish, Bullheads and Channel Catfish.  Last year's fishing results was heavy on big bass, so its been kind of nice to change the focus.
