oneshot Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I went scouting today. Walked across a Bean field. Didn’t get out of sight of the Pickup. Didn’t know if I was going to make it back to the Pickup. Bought a bunch of stuff and I was drawn for Management Hunt. But if I can’t I can’t. oneshot
fishinwrench Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 You've got time. Work up to it. Get out tomorrow, and the next day.....then take a day off. Then go again. It doesn't have to be scouting/hunting, just go for a walk or whatever. If you get tired sit down for a minute or two. It isn't a race. snagged in outlet 3, tho1mas and luckycraft 3

What advice has your doctor given you?

My Doctor has said I shouldn’t be able to walk. I’m done with treatments but still get sick. Supposed to see another Doctor day before Deer season opens. I have two more weeks. oneshot
MOPanfisher Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Some days are worse than others. I went to Physical Therapy Monday and no clue what happened but I went pale, popped a flop sweat and got light headed. All I was doing was standing in one place and stretching some big rubber bands to strengthen shoulder. Fortunately the young, cute female PT saw me and slapped a chair under my butt before I collapsed. I was feeling pretty good about how close she was watching over me until she said, "It must be me, there is another OLD GUY that gets dizzy around me". Dang girl that one was harsh. 😭

Like she said no amount of exercise will help with my disease. Plus I go Deer hunting if I shoot a Deer I’m commented to taking care of it no matter how I feel. Shoot it I have to find it, gut it, go get cart, load Deer on cart, get it back to Pickup, load it, then once home work it up . That Management Hunt is up and down hill and last time I went figured it was just too much. My One Son said he would never go back considering the terrain. She said might get Road Kill again. At least we can get help. She says I get enough exercising around here with yard work, gardening and cutting firewood. oneshot
oneshot 1 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Another thing I found yesterday. Had to put my Pickup in 4WD because of couple inches of mud. I was thinking this is crazy considering I've drove in worse with 2WD. Was in the same place months ago, thought I needed 4WD but lost my 4WD Linkage and still got out of there. Another thing to watch. If I have a flat I'm stuck unless I can find someone to come change it. oneshot

MOPanfisher Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Oneshot, you need to get signed up for the Stockton or Trumen lake special hunts. Guides, accessible blinds and amount of assistance can be worked with. I help at the one at Stockton and they have a pretty good system going. BilletHead 1
