I see people everyday not following proper mask wearing. I'm surprised casinos aren't hot spots. There have been casino workers that I know that have tested positive, and luckily I haven't worked around. The only thing I can' think of why they aren't is the majority of the casinos have put into place social distancing measures that may for the most part help to some degree. Just curious, I wear an N95 most of the time and wondered what business you were seeing all those cases. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

Most of the people I know that have tested positive are casino workers. Some are friends, some are my wife's coworkers who work in the medical field. My wife is an attorney for one of the big hospitals here in St Louis and she gets a lot of first hand intel about what is going on. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson

Terrierman Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 My grandson has it. So does his dad. My daughter and other grandson living in the same house do not. It does not sound like fun. At all. Fortunately,, my daughter is being allowed to work from home. Nobody has any idea where they got it. Dad has been having back problems and staying home. Only place he's been in the last couple of weeks is Dr. Office and of course he was masked at the time. Grandson is a homebody too and has not been actually anywhere other than in the car with his mother. My daughter works at a urologist's practice and is masked all day every day. Changes her clothes and puts the day's clothing in the laundry as soon as she gets home. Doesn't go anywhere without a mask. Still sleeping in the same bed as dad. The two grandsons are in the same room. So, the takeaway is you never know. ness 1

Their lungs are clear so far, I hope it stays that way for you. We have a 29 year old healthy friend in KC. It took her down hard, and it did put her in the hospital. She made it, but that was not always a given. A month after she is supposedly over it. She is still dealing with the physical repercussions of it. I don't see us ever getting out of the first wave until peoples behaviors change. And this will eventually make its way into rural areas Had dinner last Friday night at Favazza's down on the hill. Sat out on the patio --- was packed. Not seated every other table, or even any attempt at spreading the seating out. Wait staff were wearing masks, but it was way too crowded IMO. Went to Annie Gunn's marketplace last week to get some sandwiches for take-out. Packed too. Half the customers weren't wearing masks. No apparent limit on the # of people they allow in, or they gave up completely in trying to police it. Very tiny place with narrow aisles. St. Charles has been doing youth athletics all summer long. No one wearing masks at the one game I went to. Not a soul. Kept my distance watching from far down the right field line. I don't see any standardization or regional consistency. Again -- sucky leadership at almost every level, but it all starts at the top with the doofus who accepts no responsibility. Final thought ---- the Woodward tapes. MOstreamer 1

They are more able to "treat" it because there hasn't been the massive influx into the hospital system like there was at the beginning which, again, can only be attributed to the social distancing and mask wearing that most people are properly doing. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
