You learned how to set the hook and fight fish. 😊 You probably also learned not to ignore that rough spot on your line that is 6" up from your bait. FishnDave, Johnsfolly and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 2
Gavin Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Longear don’t get that big. Any 6-8” is a good one. Have caught em to 9-10” on occasion. Won’t eat them, full of lead contaminants where I catch big ones. #2 Sneaky Pete is not too big for them. Usually have to go bigger to select for Smallmouth.

That's gotta be a lot bigger than the State Record...I saw the article on that...wasn't that caught just this year?..or maybe last year? 4 oz? A 9" would probably be 3X that heavy. (Maybe heavier, what with all that lead! 😅 ) 7" is Master Angler. Johnsfolly 1

I could do it if I caught a Smallmouth Bass, Rock Bass (Goggle-Eye), and Brown Trout. I need some serious advice on these....
