Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 18, 2020 Root Admin Posted October 18, 2020 Read through the topic. Bo has had trouble since I updated the forum. He can't see pics or "like" topics/posts. I changed his membership and it didn't help. Thoughts? SplitG2, JimDog and moguy1973 3

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 20, 2020 Author Root Admin Posted October 20, 2020 Anyone else have any ideas. Your operating system or browser doesn't like the forum's something... I don't know enough about this to give any thoughts. big c and dpitt 2
jdmidwest Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Popup Blocker? That little heart pops up something that may be blocked by a browser when you hover over it. I can't tell by the pic what operating system or browser he is using. May be Mac. Firefox is showing a unsecure connection to the forum for me. Have you updated certificates for the new web upgrade? BilletHead Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 I get a not secure also and am not using firefox. jdmidwest Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 There is something out of whack with the security certificates. Firefox reports that the website does not report ownership and no encryption. Other forums us https. in the url that secures it. Depending on the browser and OS, the security may be turned up high enough to prevent loading pics and hover overs. dpitt Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 It looks like Google Chrome, the message also looks like a forum message dialog, not a google chrome dialog message. I'm using Google Chrome and seems to be working fine for me. I'm on a mac. The "like" link is an http url, but that should not be a problem. Hover over the like heart and right click, you will bring up a menu shown below. Click "open link in new tab". This will show a new tab with the link, hit enter and it should perform the like, or you will get some kind of message, I'm curios what is does. or maybe this will provide some more info to help diagnose. tjm and merc1997 Bo 2
Members Zulu Posted October 21, 2020 Members Posted October 21, 2020 Is this a problem if using another computer? iPad? Smartphone?
Seth Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 The only thing I've noticed is that the site doesn't automatically redirect you to HTTPS. It could have been like this forever thought for all I know as I never actually paid attention. If you type https://forums.ozarkanglers.com then it will show secure and you can check and see that certificate is still valid until 12/31/20.
jdmidwest Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Firefox still shows it as unsecure because of images. Even with the https/ The changes took place and the same bookmark on my browser. But the security features of some browsers may be blocking some content. Never used Chrome, stay away from Edge or Explorer. I have always been Firefox with an Opera backup. Apple products are never used by me. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
