I think they need to go back to the drawing board.  Can't imagine how squirrelly that thing would be to try to maneuver with the whole front half of the canoe out of the water.  Suspect it would flip like a top if you tried to cut it too sharply.  And I also can't imagine how loud it would be.  If something like that came up the rivers I float, I think I'd be throwing rocks at it.
