gotmuddy Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Sunday @Daryk Campbell Sr and I fished at buffalo city and fished around the island on minimum flow. At the bottom side there is a huge gravel bar and we decided to test out the new boat build....and found its limit😆 https://www.instagram.com/p/CIws36MFEUd/ Seth, BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3 and 2 others 3 2 everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Seth Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 If you haven’t ran out of water with a jet boat at some point then you just ain’t using it right! fishinwrench, Brian Jones, Greasy B and 2 others 4 1

Mitch f Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 That water wasn’t too skinny, you either slowed down too much or your jet boat runs deep. What’s the length and width? Smalliebigs and Seth 2 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

I stuffed my boat worse than ever this past fall in an area I've ran several times on the Osage. The water was falling out and I thought I had enough water left to take a straight shot through a spot that I usually have to swing wide on before cutting back towards the middle. I quickly realized my assumption was wrong. A boat had just went by 5 minutes prior and then we had to wait darn near 2 hours before another boat came by and helped get us unstuck. Next time you're playing with a chainsaw, find a piece of a 4x4 and cut a V in one end, then whack it off about 15-18" long.....and keep that in the boat. With a little imagination (and that piece of 4x4) you can turn that ETEC tilt/trim into a backhoe, and back yourself right outa there, 6-8" at a time. 😁 Seth and snagged in outlet 3 2

Absolutely. that was part of the idea. I looked at the shoal pretty hard but neglected to look ahead lol. 10 hours ago, fishinwrench said: Truth. What’s the length and width? Its a 16x48 with a 3" tunnel and pods. Currently I am having some carb issues on top end so I am not getting the speed I need, also my liner is wore past the wear limit. I have a stainless impeller and new liner coming now. that being said, the place we ground out was only 2 inches deep so I am not upset with its current performance. 9 hours ago, Seth said: Sometimes it just sneaks up on a guy. The steelflex 2000 epoxy made short work of getting off the shoal. I should have recorded @Daryk Campbell Sr pulling the boat with one hand with me in it.
