Johnsfolly Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Livie #81 Northern puffer, Inflatis softballsizous Pretty cool inflated. or deflated (JF #101) Quillback, snagged in outlet 3, timinmo and 1 other 4
Johnsfolly Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Livie Honorable mention - a cool striped searobin showing the black smudgespot on the dorsal and dark pectoral fins indicative of this species. Mine (#103) doesn't show that dorsal fin but does show the stripes for it namesake. FishnDave, Quillback and snagged in outlet 3 3

Including this one which I caught while trying to catch a flounder (JF #102). Now there's something I could get in to. How many species can you catch using another species for bait? For example, say you caught a gizzard shad on a house fly, which you used to catch a striper, whose guts you used to catch a catfish... how many iterations are possible? Johnsfolly and snagged in outlet 3 2 I can't dance like I used to.
Johnsfolly Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Livie #82 (Lifer) Eastern Blacknose dace Need ruling from @Ham and @FishnDave. Livie caught a creek chub but I failed to recognize that this was the first that she caught this year. So no photos were taken. Allow this as #83 or we need to go catch another one? FishnDave 1
FishnDave Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 A creek chub caught, is a creek chub COUNTED. Congrats, Livie! 👍 Johnsfolly 1
Ham Posted August 6, 2021 Author Posted August 6, 2021 I'm good with whatever. She caught it. You know she caught it. I think she has a Creek Chub on her list. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

She fished with me in KS and in Mingo, but no other spots in MO. I don't have any catch records of a creek chub for her, but may have overlooked it. I didn't have it on her annual fish list until yesterday.
Johnsfolly Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 Able to get to some new water or really just a bunch of clear pools in a vanishing stream in VA. Was targetting some montane species. Livie caught the only targetted species of the trip. We really tried to find more amongst the high number of eastern blacknose dace. I did not expect that much competition 😒. Livie #84 (Lifer) Mountain Redbelly Dace, Chrosomas oreas nomolites and FishnDave 2
