oneshot Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 I’m thinking of getting a Ankle Holster but can only get to my Pistol setting down because I have a hard time squatting down. So I’m not really thinking this will work. I use to carry on the left side but found this don’t work since I messed my Shoulder up plus it was stupid because I had to switch to my right hand anyway. Kept it there because had my right pocket full of stuff. I don’t wear nothing but Bibs most the time. Carrying on my belly would be great unless I’m wearing slacks. Ideas? oneshot
ollie Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 I have a S&W Shield and when I carry I put it on the back of my belt right above my butt! No one sees it and my shirt hides it very well. For me it is easy to reach back and retrieve it if need be. I don't think the ankle holster is all that great IMO. nomolites Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 I carry IWB at my appendix , not always the most comfortable while sitting(requires an adjustment after sitting or standing up) but it is the best solution for me. I can also carry with sweatpants or gym shorts as long as they have a good tie cord. With larger frames I carry OWB in back like Ollie but need a outer jacket for concealment. Mike
Terrierman Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 What's wrong with a pocket holster? CC vest for another option.
Gavin Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Who are you kidding? You would be dead long before you could fumble around and grab that. If you ever needed too. I see three or four things I could kill with, within reach of this office chair. Faster than I could deploy a firearm.
Flyfisher for men Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Could it be as simple as making your left pocket be the one full of stuff and put the gun in your right pocket? Edit: I wrote that and then realized that your shoulder situation might not go with stuffing car keys, change and so on with your left hand. Here's another thought: If you're wearing bib overalls, what about that front pocket? I knew a guy that carried a NAA .22mag derringer in it and another gun elsewhere on his body.
Dutch Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 If it is that dangerous at Bennett Springs why not hire a body guard? You said a while back that you had lots of money. Flysmallie 1
fishinwrench Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 If I'm going into a battle zone I want a shotgun. If I'm worried about going somewhere and a gunfight breaking out..... I'm gonna equip myself with a kevlar vest FIRST, and then maybe think about how I want to carry. Carrying ONLY a gun is stupid, because if you're the first one to touch off a round.... you're in big trouble, and might just wish you were dead.
Terrierman Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 Some people like to carry a gun even if it doesn't make much sense. That's their right in Missouri. Me? I do not carry a gun. They're a huge PIA to keep secure and I just do not feel that need.
