vernon Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 Wouldn't it be great if Table Rock turned into one of the absolute best walleye lakes in the country? You know, became like a "destination" walleye fishery? Walleye fisherman from EVERYWHERE would want to fish there especially in the spring! Wouldn't it be GREAT? 😳 terryj1024 1 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent." Me.

Heck, it pd me off back before the www when some local braggart hooked up with some newspaper outdoors guy, and the resulting Friday half page. Everybody that ever did that regretted it in a short time. "Call someplace paradise, kiss it goodbye." vernon 1 I can't dance like I used to.

The numbers of Walleye that run into these rivers is incredible. We collected 251 Walleye per hour a couple of nights ago on the Upper White River out of the Highway 45 Bridge (Beaver Lake Twin Bridges Access). On the Kings River, we have collected over 350 per hour and see some trophy fish. Our sampling method (electrofishing) does not collect every fish. We only get a small sample of the Walleye that are there (if we collect 75 in 10 minutes, we are probably missing another 75). We cannot net fast enough to collect all the fish. We have seen similar numbers in the White below Beaver Lake. Also, we have observed fish that were 14 lbs. These high catch rates are corresponding with the increased popularity of the Walleye fishery in the spring. Stocking at this point is not needed in these river arms and Walleye are doing very well on their own. Wow, if they are shocking up thatany the walleye population is doing very well. EVERYBODY go south to catch walleye and leave stockton, Pomme and Truman to those who are happy catching a few small ones.

I was under the impression that Pomme was fast becoming the walleye capital of Mo.

MOPanfisher Posted March 14, 2021 Posted March 14, 2021 Straight up LIES. The dad gum white population is taking over everything, tearing up crappie tackle, chasing off walleye and even now attacking and killing full grown muskie. It's getting dangerous to even swim there. laker67, fishinwrench and terryj1024 1 2
