Read my post again. I said I don't freeze fish and the ones I do give away are only for a FRESH meal of fish. They are gone before I go fishing again. The fish I keep and clean rarely get frozen because I don't keep a big wad of them at anytime because 1) I fish frequently and 2) I don't like to clean fish. You're wasting your time preaching to me about "over harvesting" because I already understand that topic very well. Better focus your time on somebody else.

Because I needed a break from paperwork I figured up how much fish we went through last year.   

4 limits of white bass + 2 limits that my daughter caught, so that's 90 Whites.

60 crappie 

3 Walleye

8 channel cat 

1 big flathead 

4 trout park rainbows

And then we were gifted some Spoonbill, Salmon, and Halibut.  

That kinda sounds like alot of fish, but it doesn't SEEM like it when looking back.   🤔

Missouri does a good job, but there is room for improvement....many conflicts between user groups...just need more selective harvest IMHO

I won't argue for more selective harvest until all contest fishing is prohibited. I might practice it, but in my mind filling your freezer is no worse from a conservation standpoint than culling and relocation are.  Wanna go gigging?

The crappie shortage on lakes like LOZ and Truman is unbelievable. Heck you can't hardly catch a crappie on those heavily fished lakes anymore, unless you actually put a jig into water that is. 😂

I think there are way too many tourneys on some of our waters...it has merit that catching 100 keeping the best 6 the releasing still does harm,  fish management needs an experiment, pic for a study with enhanced regulations..for less economic impact say Stockton.....limit tournaments to a very low number, requires all contestants information all catches recorded.....reduced bag limits to 2 fish on LMB and smallmouth must be 20”....spotted bass 12” 8 bag limit...walleyes 2 must be 20” crappie 10 must be 12”... sunfish 15 -8”.   Close the lake to all fishing 3days a week starting March,April,May and June....lake closed to all boats yaks too....4am to 11pm....

The crappie all drowned during the high water of 2019.

   A gazillion dead and dying shad floating around and none were gizzard. Must be very rare? Need a biologist to weigh in on this subject : )   Maybe as rear as bigfoot, Momo, Sasquach and Yeti. Then there is black panthers and aliens too.    The proof is not for me to show it is the believer to show. Anyone want to think I have a gold mine in my yard?  Everyone want me to prove it? Naw just have to take my word for it!
