What are you talking about?

I have no hands-on experience with them yet, but was under the impression that a power cut-off switch prevented operation unless the motor was in the fully deployed position..... To prevent someone from stowing the motor while in spot- lock, drifting out of position, and cutting their hand off.

I have a Force TM. I previously had an Ulterra.

The spot lock on the force is 3 to 5 feet. The Ulterra was 10 feet plus plus a wild ride when it realized it was off spot.

The Force is quieter and more powerful than any I have had before (Minn Kota and Motorguide).

I suggest the real competition is between the Force and the Ghost, with which I have no experience. Minn Kota is now in the catch up mode after being "the one" for several years.

Just my thoughts.

That won’t work for me either.

That whole... Not being able to lift it up to get out of a shallow snag... would be a deal breaker for me.

What are you supposed to do, carry a push pole?

What is he talking about? I can lift ours out and run when in Shallow water.

I don't know? , We were in my boat and I lifted the motor up by the pull rope to get over a shallow spot and he said his motor would not run unless fully deployed. I've never owned one so I took it as gospel. He loves the motor a lot though
