Water Condition

Heading down Thursday night to Old Highway 86 campground.  Have never taken my boat to this area.  With all the rain would it be a waste of time to bring the boat or is that part of the lake clear enough for some fishing?  Will be there through Sunday. Thanks in advance for any information.

Kimberling is rapidly clearing. Watched a little spot eat a Ned in about 8' this afternoon. 

Think you'll be fine. Just mind the junk floating around.

My wife and I have a place rented on Indian Point this weekend. I'm about to make the decision to not bring the boat. Right now weather looks to be a warsh(I'm a hick) Saturday and Sunday. Don't want to haul it up, rent a slip, then watch it rain all weekend. I don't mind fishing in the rain, but this weekend is about quality time with the boss lady, and she ain't gonna fish in the rain. On the bright side, if I do cancel out on bringing the boat, it'll be the most beautiful weekend ever, and fish will literally being jumping in everyone else's boat! 20 pound bags for everyone!

No problem with the water whatsoever. Up to you all about the weather. Major Derby's this weekend so there will be fisherman on the water.

I shall recuse myself from discussing forthcoming weather (you can thank Mixer, Snagged and others) but as for the water we’ve been at Indian Point since last Friday and have run as far upstream as Baxter without incident and the water is quite clear. 

Bring the boat I say. It is a trip to the lake after all!

One of the best trips I ever made was the one where we went to Broken Bow Lake on Spring Break and it snowed. I never went out, and the wife and I played high stakes gin rummy.
