FishnDave Posted May 28, 2021 Author Posted May 28, 2021 I've done pretty well with hookups and landed fish on flies with Shortnose Gar (landed at least 13 last weekend). I'm hoping I might have similar success with Longnose Gar, but if I have to resort to a rope fly, I can. My problem is I'm not seeing them where I'm fishing, so I was hoping some folks here might know where concentrations of them might be? Ham 1

But I’m not an expert at identifying them. FishnDave 1
Devan S. Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Man a trip to the SW part of the state and you should be able to easily get a brown, mccloud rainbow @ crane creek, a goggleye/ozark bass, maybe toss in a black crappie? tjm and FishnDave 2
Ham Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Let me get you on the Current River. You'll get Shadow Bass for sure. Decent shot at Chain Pickerel. Decent shot at Skipjack. FishnDave 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

However he did mention staying around St Louis. Still need to work on his drive to fish ratio tolerance 😉! @FishnDave like how we speak of you in third person😁? FishnDave and JestersHK 2

He had Good results last road trip so I think we can convince him to do more. FishnDave, JestersHK and Johnsfolly 2 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
