Who Do We Write To

Recommended Posts

I don’t fish in the park but did enjoy it.

What is the deal we did without fish because they were building State of the Art Hatchery. Like wrench said closed up growing weeds around it.

Went to a meeting on the Wooden Bridge. They was going to get rid of it. We convinced them it was needed. They said fine we will build better. All said and done they built the same Bridge and did basically away with using it.

Now they are doing away with the Swimming Pool.

Like I say I don’t fish the park but like what it has to offer the area. I just feel they are letting it go downhill for no reason and wondering where complaints go to make changes?

There is a meeting Friday July 23 at Bennett 6 pm at pavilion B to discuss park plans for future and collect comments and concerns from public.  I plan on going.

I might go. This can’t keep going the way it is.

Sara Parker Pauley (former head of DNR) is the  Director of MDC,  she seems to think politically. No science needed.  You'll have  to find her contact info. You could be more effective wring to the Governor, asking for a replacement.

Those open meetings never change what is already decided as the course of action, they are simply an opiate to the public.

That obstacle course that you have to drive through before crossing the wooden bridge.....is hands down the stupidest thing I have ever seen built on a road ANYWHERE I HAVE EVER BEEN.

Honestly, the person who designed it needs to be demoted to bathroom detail, and the person who approved it needs to just be FIRED and never given a positive reference, because THAT PERSON shouldn't even be given a job as a bagger in a grocery store.

Bennetts Springs is a state park. Seems like issues with the park should go to the DNR folks not the MDC.

One shot, I know they've got it closed for Covid, but are they talking about a permanent elimination of the pool? If so, it's unbelievably foolish, and you can bet I'll be writing.

More than anything, I value Bennett Spring for what it offers kids and families. A permanent loss of the pool would be  an outrage.
