This is confusing to me. The complaint is they wouldn’t have an item ready for pickup without payment or am I missing something.

BPS has curbside pickup which is the same except u provide a means of payment with your order.

No the complaint is they couldn’t figure out how to go get it and have it at the reel counter so my wife could pick it up and pay for it.  I’ve been doing it for several years.

Times change. Could've ordered it on your phone in minutes and had them bring it to your car when you got there.

I was beating around the bush… it’s even easier to use curbside for anyone willing to explore the option.

FWIW, midway USA has top notch curbside

I've always found it hard to buy at Bass Pro. The only interested help is at the entrance wanting to get you signed up for credit cards. Then try finding a sales person. Not much I'm interested in either, 90% of the store being clothes, other 90% being boats and the tackle being lots of the same stuff with very little variety.  They have some guns but I don't need those and the archery section is like the fly  section- never any staff. Kids gave me a gift card there a few years ago and I made at least a dozen trips to the Rogers store before finely just buying something I didn't want to use the card up. I like to walk through it every month or so just to reinforce the need to buy online. Ratty dead animals every where you look too. And the website is the absolute worst I've ever found. Cabela's website worked  good until BP took over and now it is just as bad. But they are still in business and getting bigger.

I'm not that crazy about them either. The one in Springfield is just a tourist trap. The prices for weights and jigs and stuff are super high too.

But, they carry a lot of stuff that you can't get anywhere else.

If anyone ever goes through Clinton, I highly recommend Everharts.

I find myself doing to "click and pull" or ship to store at BP but their often out of things, even online.

I've been getting stuff from Discount Tackle. The run sales a lot and I can get the sizes and colors on the Zman Ned heads and baits. It's the only place that I can find Zman finesse worms.

I went into the boat works bait shop the other day and it is dang good, they have about everything a guy can ask for.  I have a buddy that opened a small tackle shop in Nixa,  Modern Outdoor Tackle and he has a really good selection for a small shop. Has about anything you need for Table Rock.

Harter House is across the hwy too isn’t there.  Where meat is perfected.
