Suggestions for an anniversary fishing trip?

My wife and I are thinking about a trip to the Ozarks for our anniversary this summer so I wanted to see if there are any good suggestions for guides and lodging.  We grew up in MO and KS and always enjoyed floating the rivers in southern MO and Northern AR, but we moved out to Phoenix several years ago so I'm not very knowledgeable about some of the other rivers in the area or what our options are. 

I'm really interested in more fly fishing (either trout or bass, but mostly bass) but my wife is more of a spincasting fan.  I'd like to bring my fly rod and my baitcaster and find a place with guided trips.  We're ok with "rustic" cabins, etc., but if there's a more boujie/fancy/upscale type of place that would be good to. 

I was looking at Riley's in Mountain Home, AR.  It sits on the White and Buffalo rivers so you can fly or spin fish for trout or smallmouth in the same area.  There's not much else to do around there, but that's part of the appeal.  They have guided trips and you can wade or even rent kayaks and canoes so it seems like a great place.

Any other suggestions for a trip like this?

You might try Lower Taneycomo around Forsyth area. And try Branson.

Can't go wrong with Mile's at Ryley's...  Really nice place and good access.

We have a yearly event at Riley's, here on the forum.  I do suggest them. Miles is a great guy,  and the cabins are spacious and clean. 

 

 May I also suggest Lilley's Landing?  The owner is the owner of the forum here.  It is in Branson, they have guided trips, we stayed there, and I've rented boats, and took a guided trip.  They are second to none for service, and their prices are very reasonable.   And you have access to both, trout and bass.  Taneycomo and Tablerock lakes are right around the corner from each other.

Another vote for Riley's Station.  I always do better on the White than Taneycomo.  There is just a lot - whole lot - more water for everyone to spread out on.  And the scenery is not resort after resort after resort.  The Buffalo and let's not forget Crooked Creek are huge pluses for warm water stream fishing.  Besides paddlecraft, Riley's also rents the classic White River Trout Boats, which I also recommend for fishing the White.

Thanks - Babler is in the deer woods and won't come out for a while...

It is hard to beat the White River in the fall.  Trout fishing here is a bit slow but what we are catching are nice size.

Hard to beat a nice float on the Elevenpoint River.  Look up Brian Sloss.  He also has some nice cottages close to the river.
