Happy Thanksgiving OAF

Just was looking out our bedroom window and saw these guys.

We see some hens from time to time and have heard gobbling in the woodlot. How fitting to see six large Tom turkeys out on Thanksgiving morning.

I hope that anyone who reads this post has a great day today. Even in the times that we live in today there is still so much to thankful for this year. Enjoy the time with friends and family. Even if they may just be online friends like those here on OAF🙂.

Cold with a strong north wind blowing here.  Getting ready to stuff the bird and then stuff the bird in the oven.  Looking forward to eating some turkey with family.

Back at you.  We cooked the turkey yesterday.  Our clan wants 6 boy curry instead of stuffed bird.

I am watching a British TV show called Farming the wild. They are actually hunting in NH for spring turkey. The host has stated that we in the US are blessed with lots of public lands and active conservation. As we are watching the show there has been a parade of bucks through the wood lot. There was one young buck, one unknown age but bigger bodied buck, a nice size 3 yr old 8 pt, another smaller 7 pt, and a giant that was way off in the woods. All this in about 45 mins.  

All hunted with binos from the windows. No active shooters this morning.

Sad I live in the city now, but still thankful for so much. My holiday wish? May all of you share your holidays with those you love.

Happy Thanksgiving from the countryside today.  Not much moving here, big blowing front came thru today.
