             Man, we all give you "likes" because we like your photos! I guess the "like spot could be changed to a quarter sign" then we could all tag each other and see how many quarters we could get. Fish for quarters instead of "likes".  @Flysmallie @Flysmallie @Flysmallie

My glass is severely tilted to empty.  Covid scours and being the senior in my Co. means they all look to me for guidance.  I give up guidance a long time ago, youngin's need to pull some weight.  I am ready for a change, but it not looking much better.

This Covid mess is really taking a toll.  Fighting cancer was a cakewalk.  At least there was a system in place for the treatment.  Covid treatments are just throw more money and scare tactics.  Its the flu, been around for decades and weaponized for gain by others.  It will be around for many more years.

I’ll take likes over cash any day. I really shouldn’t complain because if I wanted to make money at photography I could. But then it becomes a job. And jobs require customers. And a lot of photography customers ruin everything. Besides I have a real job. 
 

I was recently asked to take some pics of a senior basketball player. I considered it for a minute until the mother started making a lot of demands. I could have met all those demands but like I said, I already have a real job. So I politely declined. She told me I couldn’t just pic and choose the jobs I wanted to do. LOL! That’s exactly what I can do. 
 

Last year I had a mother scream at me on the phone because I couldn’t take pics of her kid that day after school. It didn’t matter to her that I was in North Carolina at the time. She told me she was calling my boss? I have no idea who that is. 
 

I also get a lot of requests to do free things for exposure. Two things there. 1) I don’t need exposure because I’m not trying to build a business. 2) If I needed exposure you wouldn’t be asking me. Funny thing is most times I would do it for nothing if you just ask and are polite about it. I’d probably even spend some of my own cash to make it work. I’m getting ready to spend a couple hundred dollars of my own money to take pics of a band at a show in KC. And I’m really excited to get that opportunity.

I get told that too, and usually it's accompanied by an additional guilt trip.  

"But I've used you forever, and you've always been great".   😟

Yeah, but now you've gone out and traded for a POS 4-Stroke that NOBODY can fix.   I don't wanna be the bad guy.   I'd rather you remember me for all the SUCCESSFUL jobs I did for you back when you had outboards that could be fixed reasonably.  I'm more than happy to do maintenance on it, water pumps, oil changes, ect. .....but that loss of power thing you've got going on now.....Sorry bro, can't fix it. 🤷 

Then I'll run into them a year or so later, and I get to hear THIS, which is so satisfying.....

"You were right Glen, I took that SOB to 3 other places, spent darn near 3k.....and it Still runs like I'm dragging a parachute down the lake".   😊👍

Its ok change is here again, looks like true reliability and the boat mechanics go the way of the tv repairman….oh yeah green new deal friendly
