Waited until about 9:30 am when temps. rose to go out and planned on just looking around.  Hade zero expectation of catching anything given poor Solonar, high barometer, and late start.  I found fish still holding at a place that worked last week at the mouth of a major creek.  Gulls and loons with fishing and lots of shad here and there.  WT 55deg.  Fish at 40 - 50 fow and sometime in the middle of the water column.  Caught 7 fish in about one hour - all keepers except for one.  One LM and the others were Spots.  The better bite came while throwing to a distant fish noted on the Live Scope.  Fun watching them come from a distance to whack the bait.  It appeared to be better to move a couple boat lengths after catching one fish.  The blue gills did not bother so much today.  Never saw another boat.  I love these cool sunny mornings on the water.

Bobby b, it’s hard to go looking and not make a cast or 2. It appears it paid off for you. Congratulations.

Nice catching there.  How heavy is the head on that grub.

It doesn’t look that large.  Is that a 3/0 hook?
