Chevy difference to GMC trucks

I believe so.  Just different trim.

As far as I have been able to tell after looking and driving both before I bought my Chevy.  The main difference is those 3 letters in the grill cost about $1,000 each.

Frames and drivetrains are the same, although it's not quite as simple as same truck with different badges.

The differences are in trim packages and how they're outfitted. GMC is marketed as the higher end luxury option, Chevrolet is the everyman's truck. The GMC will often come standard with what a Chevy only includes in the higher trim packages. Could be a bigger engine, air suspension, heated/cooled seats, etc. There are exceptions though and some trims that overlap.

GMC's may be "higher end"  but something about the bowtie just makes it cooler.  😉

I bet the GMC also gets upgraded stuff you can't see.  When we made Buick Park Ave the Electra got a heavier dash pad and more insulation under the carpet than the lesser models.  Similar upgrades in the leather and door panels.  You wouldn't know without a plant tour though.

Yes, it is mostly trim option and badges. Depending on the year it makes the difference in options available. GMC has a red back light on the interior and Chevy has a blue back light on things. Any yes Bowties are cooler. 😎  GMC = Gay Mans Chevrolet.
