Daryk Campbell Sr
So, my first fly has been tied. I'm not unhappy with it. Big, big, thank you to @BilletHead for sending me a vise. I found a materials lot on ebay, and went to Feathercraft for the other items needed. By the way, the worker at Feathercraft was top notch. I went in unprepared, with just the flies that would be tied in the course I'm taking online. I did not have the materials list. He helped me and 3 other shoppers at the same time and did not miss a beat. tjm
That's how we all started, with the first one. Soon you'll need a storage bin or two to keep all the materials. Daryk Campbell Sr and tangledup

Brian K. Shaffer
Now the other half of this equation is to use it to catch a fish. Present the fly to a FISH - it will eat it. Or will it ? trythisonemv
Glad you joined the club! Sorta looks like a mole fly or scud . it will catch fish either way. I have tied flies in a hurry that looked rough and slayed with them. They always say flies catch fly fisherman more than fish 😆 Johnsfolly, nomolites, Daryk Campbell Sr and 1 other
Daryk Campbell Sr
This has no specific pattern followed. I was just trying to go though the basics. I will be trying it on the creek. And will report. trythisonemv and Johnsfolly 2 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction.
