When we were renting the farm house some got in around the mortar and built a hive between the garage ceiling and one of the bedroom floors. I contacted some bee keepers and no one wanted them. Through the Green County Bee keepers assn. I found a guy who would come take them for $250. It was either that or kill them so I hired him. He estimated that there were 25-30,000 in that group. Pretty neat Dutch, Thanks for sharing and saving the bees. Used to go over to that part of the state to trout fish in the spring, you'd be driving down the highway and they would be everywhere smacking into the windshield. Never had a desire to raise them myself. I like a honey and peanut butter sandwich. Jeff, @curtisce brother is a commercial beekeeper. Curt mentioned his brother took hives out West to the Almond groves for pollination work. ness Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Bees and beekeeping are fascinating to me. The bank was briefly in the bee business through a foreclosure a few years ago. Undeveloped land we found some manmade hives on. The CEO was happy to get a little income off that property 😀 BilletHead 1 John

We stop by there occasionally and pick some up. I still prefer fruit over honey. BilletHead 1

oneshot Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Meade is good stuff. I was making Elderberry Wine my wife was watching me. She says there is no way I’m drinking that. Why is it the good stuff involves mold other than Weed? Got Pork Curring in the shed. Almost forgot Smoked Fish is good. oneshot
