Big halibut are another one, it's like lifting a horizontal piece of 3/4" plywood off the bottom, then you make some progress and the plywood swims back to the bottom.  In 300 FOW.

I can attest to that…this fish came from right at 300’ out of Cook’s Inlet.  Had him up to the boat twice and he decided to head back down and I wasn’t stopping him.

I caught a small 15-16” one at Winfield dam years ago.  We were walleye fishing in the winter.   Jig and minnow.
